We offer a number of different trip types so you can choose the type of travel to suit you.
Small group tours
We specialise in small group travel, our predominant trip type. Our group sizes average at just 11; big enough to meet like-minded people but small enough to get to the heart of a destination. You'll be accompanied by an expert local leader throughout to show you everything there is to see, from the must-see highlights to hidden gems you wouldn't otherwise get to experience.
To make it easier to find a trip to suit your needs, we have split our small group tours into five different programmes:
Classic Discovery (including Wildlife)
Our largest programme, our Classic Discovery tours include the cultural, historical and natural highlights of a destination. The Classic Discovery programme also includes our Wildlife trips, which offer the opportunity to spot wildlife in their natural habitats, as well as Food and Drink tours, Rail tours, Activity Holidays and Festival tours.
Walking & Trekking
Our Walking & Trekking tours are expertly designed to include the best walking and hiking opportunities of a country. We offer a variety of walking grades to suit different abilities, from easy walks in Europe with plenty of food and drink stops, to challenging mountain ascents.
Cycling
Take to two wheels to explore a country on our Cycling tours. Going by bike is a great way to see the landscape and meet the locals. Choose a cycling grade to suit your fitness and how much cycling you want to do. Some trips involve easy bike rides with plenty of stops, whilst others are more challenging point-to-point cycles.
Family
Take your family on an unforgettable trip with our family adventure holidays. You'll be joined by other families, with a maximum group size of around 12-18, and an expert local leader. It's the ideal way to maximise your enjoyment; adults get to socialise, children get to make new friends and everyone gets to explore and learn new things. Our itineraries pack in all the must-do experiences to create family memories to last a lifetime.
Polar voyages
For the ultimate once-in-a-lifetime adventure, you can't beat a thrilling polar voyage to see parts of the world still largely unseen by the typical traveller. Onboard one of our expedition ships you'll get to travel to the breathtaking polar corners of the world. The incredible wildlife sights and the unique landscapes will stay with you long after you return home.
Exclusive groups
Got your eye on one of our trips but don't want to travel with other people you don't know? Our Exclusive Groups offer the same Explore experience, but just for you and anyone you choose to join you. Gather up five or more friends or family and take over your own departure. You'll still have a local leader with you to show you all the must-see and must-do things. Choose from dozens of trips across the world, including Discovery, Walking, Cycling or Family trips.
