Georgia tour highlights

Experience captivating Georgia on a small group tour, from hiking through the Caucasus Mountains to roaming through the medieval streets of Tbilisi or cycling through the wine lands of Kakheti. Along the way you’ll get to experience the fine cuisine and warm hospitality of the charming Georgian people.

Our tours take in a range of experiences across Georgia and neighbouring Armenia, from walking tours of historical sights to sampling biodynamic wines which are aged underground. Some of our top highlights include:

Tbilisi in Georgia
Tbilisi

Set in a dramatic valley, Georgia’s eclectic capital, Tbilisi, has a firmly established reputation as the most vibrant and cosmopolitan city in the Southern Caucasus. While development continues apace, much of the city still feels like a village: the neighbourhoods in the Old Town feature narrow streets lined with small, family-run boutiques and leafy squares with pavement cafes. Overlooking it all is the imposing 4th-century Narikala Fortress.

Caucasus Mountains

At the gateway to Asia, the Caucasus Mountains stretch between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea and are home to Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Europe. Visiting the Svaneti region of Georgia gives the ideal chance to experience the area’s craggy peaks and squat, stone villages. The Svantian people are wonderfully hospitable and proud of their remote homes, which can be characterised by their distinctive ‘koshki’ - defensive medieval towers. Using the Svaneti region as a base on our Hiking in the Caucasus holiday, you’ll hike between deep gorges and snow-dusted summits, staying in charming guesthouses and refuelling after your efforts with hearty Georgian home cooking and robust local wines. During the eight-day tour you’ll trek the foothills of Mount Ushba, summit the 3070-metre peak of Mount Guro and visit monasteries and cave formations.
