Do I need to be vaccinated to travel with Explore?

At Explore, we do everything we can to ensure responsible and hassle-free travel.
You do not need to be vaccinated or provide a negative test unless it is a condition of entry of the destination country you are visiting.
For many countries, at least one of these requirements remains a condition of entry, so please ensure you check the specific entry requirements well in advance of travel.

Do I need to carry proof of my vaccination status?

Most countries are asking for proof of vaccinations record for travel and most are now accepting the UK’s NHS COVID PASS. Please check if this is the case on the FCDO advice for your destination and make sure you are carrying it in the correct format detailed on the FCDO page. Some destinations are asking for a print out as well as on your smart phone. Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status. For England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, please check how to obtain your COVID PASS.

What will happen if someone in the group tests positive?

Should you or another member of the group unfortunately pick up COVID-19 during your travels all our Explore leaders are trained to support and assist you and the group on the ground. They will follow the local protocols for testing and isolation and are supported by our 24/7 UK based operational team and local in-country partners. In most circumstances the person will have to isolate from the group until they test negative.

Do I still need COVID-19 testing for entry to my destination?

Several countries still have a requirement to carry proof of a negative PCR or Lateral flow test for entry taken within a defined timescale of arrival. The defined timescale is for when the sample was taken, not from the date on which the result was delivered. We strongly advise that you check with the relevant Embassy travel advice to ensure that the test you decide on meets their entry requirements. If your flights transit through another country please also ensure you meet the travel requirements for that country.
The UK FCDO advice states that tests for travel must not be obtained via the NHS and that you should find a private Covid testing facility. There are several private and local testing facilities available, please note fees can vary.
Our recommend provider is Randox who provide PCR and Lateral flow home testing kits. Visit the Randox website, select the COVID-19 test most suited to your needs and use code FLY15 to discount your test. Follow the instructions on their website to complete your test.

Are there any COVID-19 restrictions still in place in my chosen destination?

Whilst in most countries mask wearing, social distancing and sanitizing have been removed there are still several countries / airlines and airports where there restrictions remain in place, we therefore still recommend you carry some masks with you in case.

Are there any other requirements for entry to my destination?

Some countries require you to complete a passenger information form prior to entry,  proof of insurance, proof of where you are staying which can be found on your final documentation – For a more detailed list of what is required by each country can be found below.
Whilst we strive to update this on a regular basis, we recommend you also check the FCDO website and sign up to FCDO email alerts for up to the minute latest advice on entry requirements in this fast evolving situation. Information can change at any time. Travel restrictions apply to travel from the United Kingdom.

Use the table and filters below to find out about coronavirus travel restrictions for each country. The information is based on current guidelines if you were to travel imminently, and we’ll update it as and when changes come into effect. Please note the information below is given in good faith and was correct at the time of publication.
