Hanoi
Wander through the bustling lanes of Hanoi’s Old Quarter on our Inside Vietnam Tour. Small shop fronts lead into caverns brimming with eclectic wares, from printed silks and fans to intricate paper lanterns and handwoven bags. Head to the historic French Quarter to grab a bowl of Pho, a delicious slow-cooked soup with beef bone broth and rice noodles, and catch some traditional street-side entertainment with a comical water puppet show. For a more laid back start to the day, escape the hustle and bustle with a relaxing walk around the tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake and watch the locals perform tai chi on its banks as the sun rises over the city.
Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)
Uncover the history of the modern and dynamic city of Ho Chi Minh on a walking tour through Old Saigon’s back alleys on our Vietnam Explorer Tour. This area is famous for its skilled tailors, and fabric shops line the streets, their windows vibrant with shimmering reels of silk in every colour of the rainbow. Head to Ben Thanh market for hawker-style food stalls, clothing shops and souvenirs, and snack on a plate of fiery wok-fried noodles. Take some time to pay respect to those lost in the Vietnam War with a visit to the War Remnants Museum, and crawl through the underground Cu Chi Tunnels to get a sense for the confined and dire conditions in which the Viet Cong troops lived.
Mekong Delta
Journey into the Mekong Delta to explore the fertile hinterlands that lie between the South China Sea and the Gulf of Thailand. Hundreds of limestone islands rise from the emerald green waters of Halong Bay, one of Vietnam's most spectacular natural attractions and one of the eight natural wonders of the world. 'Halong' translates to 'where the dragon descends to the sea' and legend has it that the pounding tail of this mythical creature created the rugged landscape of this celestial scenery.
